This is the biggest thing that has ticked me off about Women's basketball. The attendence for the game against Evansville was 547!! Are you kidding me?!?!? This team is good for those of you that don't know. We lost in the last seconds of the game, but we held a 90 point team to only 56 points. Get out and support a great basketball team if you don't have anything better to do!!! Go Panthers!!!!

the women have 4 home games in a row, so it's time for the community to come out and support the Panthers the next 2 weeks. 1/25-7pm Illinois State, 1/27-4pm Indiana State, 2/1-7pm Drake, 2/3-4pm Creighton. Please get out and support the girls. Even if we only have 1/4 of the fans that go to the men's game it would be huge for the home team. They really need our support and it would be great if we could break 1,000 fans for a home game to show our support. Great win and keep it going Panthers!!!

The UNI women have another big game today. They have a chance to gain a game on Illinois St. and S. Illinois with a win over Creighton this afternoon. The game begins @ 4:05 PM - it will be a dog fight - Creighton is on a 4 game winning streak.

What a great game and a huge win for the Women this afternoon. Now they have 2 on the road, 2 at home and finish the regular season with 3 on the road before the MVC tourny in Des Moines. About the only bad part of the game was Creighton took over for the last 4 min. of regulation and we couldn't get a shot off before the shot clock expired when we got the ball with 32 sec. left tied. However, they came out fired in OT and got the huge win. Keep it up ladies, you're doing awesome!!!! Go Panthers!!!

The men could learn a thing or to about dribble penetration with a kick out pass. It is amazing how many good looks they got inside and out by being agressive with the basketball.

The UNI women's BB game this Saturday, Feb. 17th in the McLeod has been moved to 2 PM instead of the original 4 PM. It is earlier so UNI fans can get home and watch the UNI men vs Nevada on TV @5 PM. It is the last home game for the gals and is senior night. Hope many fans attend and show their support.

Great win by the women today. Tara King went down in the second half with a "knee strain". Hopefully by the 23rd she'll be able to play again. Great game from Traci Ollendieck had 26 points and 9 rebounds in 29 minutes of play. She was 5-8 behind the arc. Nice way to end the home schedule.

Great Panther Win as I listened to it in my apartment with no cable, no tv, no electricity, no heat, & the room tempeture at about 35 degrees, fortunately I had a battery power radio that could still pick up the game.

Way to go ladies, great bounce back from the game friday. TARA KING IS ALIVE AND WELL !!!! :bb:

Plus we do not have to play the dreaded thursday game in the Valley tournament. This team is good enough that they could get on a roll in the tournament & win it all. My hats off to Tony D, his staff & the women who plan for the UNI Panther Basketball team. :banana:

We lost power here last night for about 5 and a half hours. That's the first time we've ever lost power for more than a few minutes since the tornados rolled thru in 1998.

yes the beverages stayed cold !! :) The juice came back about 7:00 & jwith no school today, it's another great day !:cool:
