Damn, guess I'm way off. I assumed Michigan since that's where he played D2. And didn't RJ and Rubin play AAU together or something? So I knew RJ was from Michigan, so assumed Rubin was also because of that....

Kid looks like a scorer. 57% of his shots were 3s, which I don't love, but as long as he can put the ball in the hoop I'm okay with it. I'm guessing he'll fill a Wolf-like shooting roll with better ball handling skills. Another Michigan kid, I wonder...

Being so quick, I would imagine it has to be a kid we offered out of high school....

FWIW, I think there was some speculation that Ege went into the portal to head home, but I'm not sure that's the case. He tweeted a video yesterday with his info including years of eligibility remaining, so looks like he is trying to find another place...

Well, the Devries to Michigan chatter was for nothing. Dusty May taking the gig.

9 points in the last 9 and a half minutes for Drake - and two of those were an uncontested layup very near the end. Ufft. Combine that with putrid FT shooting. Not good.

Man, I wasn't anticipating Landon leaving, I thought he could have been a dude for us with his ability to shoot. Well coaches, time to earn for paychecks. With that said, yes, I love the idea of getting the type of kid who has been through adversity...

Is there a signing period for portal guys? Can a guy sign with a new school today or do they have to wait?

I was pretty excited for Duax to be a Panther, but he really didn't impress when he got minutes. As somebody else said, he's super athletic, but isn't a great shooter and gets out of control way too often. With Heise, I'm disappointed, but not surprised....

Obviously Indiana State made the NIT, but I just realized that Bradley made it as well - and they're matched up with Loyola in round 1....

NET is such trash. I'm pretty sure it's designed to prop up the P6s and when a MM looks good in NET, they just look the other way. Apparently like Indiana St was the third team out, what a joke.

It would be fun, but I don't really see the benefit. We did the Brazil trip last summer, which I really thought would be better than a low level postseason tourney.

Not us related, but interesting to see this morning that Porter Moser is expected to leave Oklahoma for DePaul. I guess it gets him back into the Chicago area.
Edit: Upon further investigation, he's denying this, so who knows......

I'm going to assume that, if nobody leaves, we're not going to look at any potential transfers. That is a little disappointing if so. It would be nice if that conversation was had with Courbat again, "hey, if we need a ride, can we use yours for...

I think Indiana State gets in. I kind of expect them to get a kick in the shorts play-in game. They don't have a marquee win, they have 6 losses - @ Alabama, @ Michigan St, @ Drake, @ SIU, v Illinois State, and yesterday vs Drake. Only one of those is...Last edited by CyCarp; 03-11-2024, 09:32 AM.
