Dylan was selected as the Outstanding wrestler in freestyle. He had an exciting come from behind win in one of the earlier rounds to beat a very tough Tommy Thorn from Minnesota 1-4,4-1,5-3. Tommy's brother is a 133 pounder for the U. of Minn.

Cooper Moore won the freestyle tournament at 170. Along the way to the championship he beat Zeb Wahle the state champion this past February from Council Bluffs Lewis Central. Then in the finals he defeated Justin Koethe from Iowa City West 3-1, 4-1.

Jared Bartel was the 195 freestyle champion winning his final's match against Joey Dedick from Wisconsin 1-0,1-0.

Somehow the PFL is going to get an automatic bid - hopefully they are not going to be matched up with one of the 3 OVC teams that get into the first round, as I would hate for the streak to end.

It's a 44 mile ride the Waverly Jaycees put on as a fundraiser. It starts in Waverly and hits Bremer, Tripoli, Readlyn, Denver and back to Waverly.

We will have breakfast snacks at the Bremer stop then the other stops are The Hub in Tripoli, Grump Days in Readlyn, Whiskey Junction in Denver and probably the Pour House back in Waverly.

Readyln to Denver, and Denver back to Waverly will be via the rail trail.

Check it out if you are interested, it's for a good cause and it's a very fun time if you're into that activity. Registration is only $10 per adult if you register in advance and $15 the day of. You can register online this year. The website is http://www.ridethegrab.com/
