Adam played for Bakersfield in the D-League after returning from Europe.

Iowa won the D-League Championship this season.

Curtis Stinson was the season MVP, although he will be moving on next year as NBDL rules only allow two consecutive years with the same team.

Then, Roman and UNI split ways and Adam was re-offered in early Fall-ish.

As for Bennett, he's in the 2013 class which is the primary target now for UNI basketball. All scholys are full for 2012 and there will be a few scholys available for the class that graduates Jake Koch, AJ, Sonnen, and Pehl. So far, Matt Thomas and Carson Shanks are the only offers on the table. Ironically, I believe KG was the lead recruiter for both (I think). You would always see KG talking with Carson's dad at the games afterward.
That worked out well for us

I still say that Bennett should be seriously considered for one of the open scholly's in his class. By all accounts he is similar to Adam and Jake but is actually taller than they were at his age-which may account for his lower stats as he getting used to his body. If nothing else, wee know the type of character that the Koch boys have had on our team and we can always make use of that.

I couldn't agree more the Koch family is a great representative of what we should look for at UNI

Hasn't Stinson been on the Energy for the past 3 years? Is the 2 year rule something new?

Honestly, at times, I thought Stinson was better than Tinsley. Tinsley just had a better supporting cast.

You know, I'm not entirely sure. I know I've heard it somewhere from someone but I can't remember who or when it was. The only thing I could find was that NBA teams can only assign first or second-year players to their affiliates...

Perhaps it's two consecutive years, as Stinson has signed with a team in the Philippines.

Stinson will always be my favorite Cyclone of any sport and the reason I started supporting ISU athletics as a teenager. The teardrop against Kansas was awesome

Loved Stinson with the energy but couldn't stand him as in college. He was always talking trash and acting cocky and arrogant. He grew up a lot in the D-league and became a real leader with great IQ and lost the trashy part of his game..in my opinion

Ya, I am aware of the rule for NBA teams assigning to dleague but not the two years on same team. Pretty sure their coach said he was their best player the last 3 years. Could be wrong though

You're correct. NBA teams can only assign a player for their rookie or second year.

A D-League player not on assignment can stay with the same team as long as he wants.

He may not have the early stats of his brothers, but I'll take my chances on the quality of individuals that have come from that family to UNI so far and trust the skills will be there when we need them.

This is awesome. I'm so excited to have Bennett on verbal this early in the game... from what we've seen from his brothers, I think he'll be a great asset for us in the future.
