Re: Rankings
10(FCS) -vs- 25(D1MBB) is a bit of apples and oranges. "Top 10" is less, but it leaves out comparison to the FBS schools, while MBB top 25 includes all of D1 schools.
How about if the Top 10 (FCS) also includes Top 60 of ALL D1 football?
Now we're talking about a team that is handicapped by fewer scholarships and still is in the top 25% of all schools.
By comparison Sagarin has UofIowa at 46, IL State at 42, and NDSU at 32.

Re: Rankings
If NDSU went undefeated for a third straight year (is that right?) and a fourth straight FCS national championship I would hope to hell they would have been ranked in the top 25. I think they have been ranked before and I think UNI has been ranked before for doing a lot less.
To not rank NDSU under those circumstances is basically saying there is nothing an FCS team can ever do that warrants ranking them in the top 25. I'm sure a lot of people and voters do feel that way, but it is based purely on ignorance.
Not going to happen thanks to the Panthers, so I guess we'll never know.GO PANTHERS!

Re: Rankings
IIRC the national champion of FCS traditionally gets in at #25 sort of a professional courtesy.

Re: Rankings
Absolutely none of this is true.
No FCS team has ever been ranked, a few have gotten a few votes, but no one has ever been ranked.
NDSU won't be ranked and shouldn't have been, even if they were still on the streak.#MACtion
