Could be we will win simply because we have a better team. We were better this year, but you have to be much better to overcome the home field advantage. Next year we will be.

Panthers will play Southern Utah University next year. SUU played SIU this year. I assume this is a home game for the Panthers. 6 conference games + SUU + Iowa State= 8 games of 11 filled (might be a 12 game schedule next year, so we will see if the maximum # of games are increased).
The Lord reigns, let the earth be glad; let the distant shores rejoice, clouds and thick darkness surround Him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne. Fire goes before Him, and consumes his foes on every side; His lightning lights up the world; the earth sees and trembles; the mountains melt like wax before the Lord of all the earth. The heavens proclaim His righteousness and all peoples will see His glory.

Holy cow. Check that list of teams Southern Utah is playing next year. That's a who's who of 1AA. Give them credit for taking on the best competition out there.
Winning is more fun than losing.

-"He is quick to mention, however, it isn't likely to get much easier next year with games against Montana, Montana State, Youngstown State, Northern Iowa, Southern Illinois, North Dakota State and McNeese State."

Wow! Your not kidding ... definitely not gonna be easy for them ...

Hartzell was on Rima's show and talked about next year's schedule. It has been updated on the original post.

Which school is Minnesota State? (I've heard of MN St-Mankato, MN St-Moorhead, etc. Not sure which is THE Minnesota State these days)

Pretty sure it's the old Mankato State.

Per SIU's website, should you update your list?

"I think they're very good," Farley said of the preseason top 25 Hawkeyes. "But so are we."

"We're not an ordinary school," said Fort. "We have tradition. We have a good team year after year. We rebuild, and it doesn't matter who we have coming back."

Any rumblings as to who that 5th noncon game will be against?

Whatre the odds we play a MAC team? My guess is slim to none.
                              Sincerely,

There could be 2 non-cons added. There is talk of adding a 12th game in D1 PCS.
