  • NFL Draft 2017

For the epic Chicago Bears fan reaction to this year's first round trade/pick (there's a bonus shot in there).

    Re: NFL Draft 2017

When I read the list of the NFL Draft, I wondered if there was another Drake somewhere. Nope, our Drake actually had a player drafted.

That dude is a monster though, good for him. Too bad no one drafted Karter but I'm sure we'll see him announce a deal with someone soon (c'mon Packers...)

That was quick. Good to see him land somewhere, hopefully he makes the team.

Any news about any other UNI players?

Karter is highly motivated. I see him making the team.

I was curious about the Browns scheme, so did a little Googling. Their D Coordinator likes to bring pressure and blitz a lot, from multiple fronts. I'm guessing Karter and his agent chose this FA offer thinking his potential versatility and pass rushing skills would be a good fit. The tweeter thing might work to his benefit here.

Just to be clear, did you mean to say tweener? Or is the president a fan of Karters?

Correct, tweener. Love spell check. Although, it would be interesting to see him tweeting out slams of CNN and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

I became reacquainted with someone recently who is a member of Karter's inner circle who told me that Minnesota and Denver had contacted him prior to the draft. Personally, I think as I stated earlier that he will succeed due to his work ethic and overall motivation.

And signed ... as a wide receiver:

The Ravens went into their rookie minicamp with space on the roster to add players who impressed them during tryouts and they filled four of those spots on Monday.
                          "Well, that escalated quickly."
