Its too bad they weren't able to at least get him a grey shirt. Crazy to think that this kid won't be getting a dime for football out of high school.

I hope this is a good fit for him, he is a phenominal student athlete.

        Re: Jeff Woody

Maybe that will open up a scholarship for Woody? Never know, it would depend on what area he was considered in.

All areas are given an equal amount of schollys.

        Skill
        Combo
        Line

If a Line scholarship opens up, they will fill that by offering a lineman.

If a Skill scholarship opens up, they will fill that by offering a safety or a running back.

        so on and so on.

Looks like Scott Frost made that happen

How was UNI on that list with all those big BCS schools? Did we really have a shot at getting that guy? Seems unlikely to me.

Wow. That pretty much pisses me off. You would think he would have a little more respect than that.

Paycheck = loyalty. Honestly, would you expect him to leave the kid alone if really thought he could contribute at Oregon (assuming that Frost was somehow involved in the recruiting process intially)?

Yes. I would. I don't think its too much to ask. New school=new recruiting, Not slamming your old school in the face when you leave.

It's just a pretty slimy thing to do IMO. I guess I shoudn't expect anything different from a nebraska cornhusker.

How about I propose this question....

Why do we have high coaching turnover on the defensive side of the ball???

Because we have great coaches and don't pay them squat.
If computers ruled college basketball the way they do football, we'd have skipped all this March Madness monotony and just waited a month for the Kansas-Kentucky title game. And watched Northern Iowa play Cornell in the Poulan Weedeater Bowl. ~ Dwight Perry The Seattle Times

Muhnee!! We can't pay like the bigger schools...plus a job at a FBS / BCS school gets you your next job at a better school / better job. FCS will "always" be a stepping stone for assistant coaches.

Um, yeah. By choice we pay them less.

Ya, okay. Or... No one can put up with Farley for longer than 2-3 years before they accept any and all offers for the first flight out of Waterloo / CF.

Offensive Coaching staff changes have been non-existent with the exception of a running back coach change since the staff was assembled in 2001.

                              Mario
                              Nelly
                              Solmon

all three have been there since 01'.

No Defensive coaches have had a tenure longer than 3 years. (to my knowledge)
