  • Waukee's RB Trevor Allen

He apparently has some sort of offer from UNI. Watching him play in the 4A semi-final vs Dowling, it appears that he would be a good get.

Watch Trevor Allen's videos and highlights on Hudl. More info: Nike Football - 2014 - 2014, 6/1 Training Camp (Columbus, OH) / Beaverton, OR

Also, the Dowling punt returner Micheal Zachery looks like he has a natural ability. I saw him last week with back to back punt returns for TDs. Not bad for a junior.

Check out Michael Zachary's high school sports timeline including updates while playing wrestling and football at Dowling Catholic High School (West Des Moines, IA).

Would love to get him. However, despite possible influence from his dad and brother, from what I hear, our chances are slim. He's likely headed to a BCS team.

this is one recruit we can't lose to ISUr or SDSU though. SDSU and NDSU are stealing some of our recruits in our own area.

Trevor is a stud, hard runner, who isn't afraid of contact, and has great vision

Also keep an eye on the sophomore class at WDM Valley. In a playoff win over Johnston, they had a sophomore starting at QB, ILB, and OT, and those were just the guys I noticed. They also had a freshman returning kickoffs and punts who saw snaps at TB. The kid has some serious speed and quickness. Anytime a player can start and make an impact as an underclassmen at a major program like Valley, they're worth watching.

That is Tyus Mason's younger brother. He'll likely end up a bit bigger than Tyus which means if he ends up being as productive as Tyus was then the big offers will come rolling in

I could see the QB and ILB easily being BCS recruits, assuming their games continue to progress. By BCS I don't mean Iowa State either.

Trevor Allen is the son of UNI former star linebacker Andre Allen. He is headed to Wyoming to play for Craig Bohl. His older brother, AJ,is a redshirt running back for UNI.

Talked to dad Andre after the game last night. He said son Trevor has NOT committed to Wyoming, as per rumor. In fact, he is still going on visits. Of course, he has "visited" UNI several times.......here's hoping he follows his older brother and becomes a Panther!

That would be odd when you consider he doesn't have any BCS offers.
