Official story from the Packers is that he failed his physical...Resulting from the knee injury in the final week of the NFL season.

    Interpret that as u will.
Winning is more fun than losing.

Well he did tear his acl, tough to pass a physical with that. As a borderline roster spot player that is enoughto get you cut add in the arrest and you get cut

Yep, probably so. If he can rehab the knee, there's a good chance he'll get a shot with a few teams. The Packers obviously saw enough to keep him around post injury, and as an undrafted free agent.

          1. We need a QB that can place a ball even half as good as Sanders could. The windows he fit that ugly ball he threw into are unreal. He didn't throw a pretty ball, but it was always exactly where it needed to be.

          2. We need WRs that will fight for the ball like Johnny, Victor and Shuylar did. Eric threw into small windows and those three made the play. We haven't had that since. As fast/talented as the players we may have had in our WR corps they have been very fast to shy away from fighting for a ball, fighting for yards, etc... Our new group of young guys seem to have this. That needs to continue

          3. Not only did that WR fight for catches, they busted their asses down field to make blocks for other WR or RB. They blocked as hard as Keith, Rinehart, Steitchen, Howard, Swift, Fiacco, Anderson, Mahaffey, etc... but they did it 10, 20, 30 yards down field.

          4. Goes with 2 and 3 but they were BIG mother f-ers, outside of Johnny. Johnny played like he was 6'4 though because he didn't give a single F. That stopped being our WR size between 09 and 15. Look at our WR corps now. 6'4 (Weston-rFr), 6'3 (James-So), 6'2 (Fountain-Sr, Fossey-rFr), 6'1 (Rima-So, James-Sr), 6' (Jegen-So). The only two under 6' are Weymiller and Phillips. We saw Weymiller last year. He is the "new" Johnny. He doesn't give a single F about who is trying to hit him, who is chasing him, where he is on the field, what he's doing. He's going to be the baddest mother F-er in his area. Phillips redshirted last year, and he's the smallest at 5'8. Don't know anything about him as a player. Look at our freshman coming in 6'2 195, 5'11 180, 6'4 195, . The two at 195 will finish their careers at 210-215 if it doesn't slow them down too much.

          5. As good as our defense has continued to be, remembers what our defense used to look like. It was an intimidating bunch. Carter, Harris, Dokes, Kinney, Lacy, Ruffin, Waters, Pedescleaux, Mahoney, etc... They were just bad looking sons of *****es. Nothing against our defense since then - they've been superb, every bit as good as a unit. Man, that was a group though.

So, as negative as I've been about Farley, the direction of the program, the new coaches, etc... the reality is it looks like the pieces and player profile are starting to get back to where it was when we were good. I see reason to believe in a better future.
