Default Attendance this weekend

How many do you think the Dome will hold this Saturday? It's WIU, so that's big, and Iowa is at Happy Valley. The students are showing more of an interest than ever, but we're continuing to have problems filling the West stands.

My prediction: 12,000

What do you think?

Announced attendance:

12,450. Not bad considering we're 2-4, I'm willing to guess that this trend continues next week against SMS.

The Panthers win, Iowa is on the road starting at 11AM, UNI game starts at 4, High School football is over for over half the teams in the state, and it's Band Day (what is this Ontheprowl???)....all this adds up to another 12,000+ crowd.

Was it me, or was there not as many students at the game than in past weekends? Also, doesn't the weather at gametime make you so thankful we can watch the game in the Dome??? It was windy and very brisk at kickoff outside!

Band Day is an event where we bring in about 12 bands from around the state and they perform with us during halftime. There's nothing quite like performing music with about 700 high school band kids. It usually brings in a lot of money for us, and plus it gives us a chance to get the word out and recruit (yes, even MARCHING BANDS have to recruit).

Yes, considering all these things, we should have another 12,000 on hand. I know quite a few Hawk fans who said they were leaving for CF right after the game in IC (and considering it's Illinois, they might leave early). I just hope the students get back to the games, I was rather enjoying that support.
