  • Hartzell interview

On this weeks Panther Sports Talk we talk with Rick Hartzell and take a look back at all he has accomplished in the past decade as the Athletic Director. We'll also recap the Dance Teams national finish, check out 2 student athletes "Panther Dens" and hear what the coaches and staff had to say about what Rick has meant to UNI.

Panther Sports Talk airs across Iowa and each show is archived online at: www.PantherSportsTalk.com

I think they probably asked RH for an interview and not the other way around. And, like it or not, it is the biggest story of the year (so far) at UNI.

        Re: Hartzell interview

The interview did not look at the controversy, rather the legacy that Hartzell left while being the AD at UNI the past decade. Just like if a successful head coach were to resign we wanted to take a look at the highlights of their career at Northern Iowa. His last day is the 31st and we will move on to covering sports and any other news that relates to UNI Athletics. Including interviews with the interim and future AD.

Thanks for the comments and enjoy the show.

I saw this on Sunday night and the interview was well done. Although we need to get the ball rolling in finding a replacement, we also need to take a step back and see all RH has done for us. We were not in a good place when he came in and he helped to bring in the right people to bring some of our programs back to life.
