  • PST Show #4

This weeks show features an interview with men's basketball coach Ben Jacobson talking about how the transition from assistant to head coach has gone, a look at how the Panther Posse student group is coming together this Fall, a detailed preview of the men's and women's cross country teams, and highlights from volleyball and soccer. Loved seeing all of the Panther fans in Des Moines Thursday night we will have all the highlights from the tailgating and the game in Show #5.

Each show is archived on our website: www.PantherSportsTalk.com

Again, thanks Panther Nation for all the great feedback.

It'll be nice to see how the show is now that teams are playing for real. Good work with the show, thanks for the hard work.

I just got done watching the show online. Another great show. Listening to Coach Jake, it really impresses me just how candid and down to earth he is. It's amazing how similar his personality on camera is to that of Coach Mac. However, I think that Jake is maybe a little more reserved than Mac was, but that's not a bad thing. The staff that they have assembled is top notch---great recruiting, great experience, and great youthful energy. It's going to be a fun staff to watch.

The Panther Posse topic was a fun one. Man, how that group has grown over the last 4 years. It's pretty amazing just how many students show up for games now...and not just show up, but are organized in chants and cheers. I'm hoping for a great showing by the UNI students this Saturday. Last year's game vs. Drake they 'overflowed' from the lower level GA area up to the top half of the east side. That would be a great sight this Saturday.

And for the XC segment...Bucky has truly done a great job. They probably operate on a budget that is 1/4 (maybe less) than all the BCS conference schools, yet his running programs turn out top 20 finishes in T&F and conference championships in XC. I hope that in the not-so-distant future that his programs can get even more funding to show him how much we appreciate his work.
The Lord reigns, let the earth be glad; let the distant shores rejoice, clouds and thick darkness surround Him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne. Fire goes before Him, and consumes his foes on every side; His lightning lights up the world; the earth sees and trembles; the mountains melt like wax before the Lord of all the earth. The heavens proclaim His righteousness and all peoples will see His glory.
