    UNI Recruiting Season Review
    Luke Feddersen

    Special to PantherNation.Com

Now that the high school basketball season has come to a close, a number of in-state athletes will be busy on the AAU circuit. But before everything gets going, IowaPreps.com takes a look at the in-state recruits for Northern Iowa in this premium article

    Commitments
Brent Barz - Johnston - Class of 2007
Barz committed early to the Panthers and remained that way despite a coaching change and added recruiting interest from schools across the country. He helped his team to a 16-7 record this winter while scoring 19.1 points per game. Barz was a serious candidate for Mr. Basketball but was hurt by the fact that the team fell short of making it to the State tournament.

Austin Pehl - Cedar Falls - Class of 2008
Within the offensive system of the Tigers, Pehl is not expected to be a big scorer. Cedar Falls is using him to block shots, rebounds, and score when called upon. Pehl did that while scoring around thirteen points per contest and nearly helping his team to the substate final.
