I just found out today the the Panther Marching Band will not be attending the SIU game as planned. I'm pretty bummed out about that, not just becasue I'm in the band and don't get to go to the game, but because that is going to be an important and tough game and the Panthers could use a decent sized cheering section to support them. I heard that when the football team originally heard we were going to Carbondale they we pretty happy about that. And now because of funds we can't go.

Sorry guys, believe me I wish I could go.

Dang, that really does stink. I'll be at the game and was looking forward to having the band there as well. The band should get a bunch of members to go down anyway and just make the UNI cheering section louder!
"...the Northern Iowa men's basketball team reached the ultimate highs before hitting a devastating low. Unexpected success, followed by unimaginable failure. And they owned it -- all of it -- for the world to see. Like men. Like leaders. Like champions -- in a way no tournament bracket could ever define."

I'm still looking for a way to get down there. I think I might be able to, but it would have been better if I were wearing a band uniform and wearing a horn...

You should go down and bring your tuba with you, and just sit in the stands. Blow it when SIU has a third down. That would be hilarious!
The Lord reigns, let the earth be glad; let the distant shores rejoice, clouds and thick darkness surround Him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne. Fire goes before Him, and consumes his foes on every side; His lightning lights up the world; the earth sees and trembles; the mountains melt like wax before the Lord of all the earth. The heavens proclaim His righteousness and all peoples will see His glory.
