they showed great heart today. they never gave up when they went down by 17 points. they were overmatched met a very athletic team that will win more games still this season.

it was fun watching them from the begining of the season. from the butler last second loss to the drake overtime game and through the missouri valley conference tournament and finally in the NCAA tournament. it was a h#ll of a seaon and i don't think anyone at the beginning of the season could have written a better script.

this is a very good basketball team that gave every once of energy they had and left it on the court.

I agree with you totally. I only wish the televisions stations here in Columbus, Ohio would have showed more of the game. So if anybody has the whole game on tape. I'm willing to purchase a copy of it so I see the entire game.

I was impressed with the team, they represented the state of Iowa very well. GT is a very good team and there is no shame in a NCAA tourney loss to them.

        I'm proud as well, but

very disappointed to lose the game today. It was ours for the taking in the second half and we just didn't. We must have gone 10 minutes without making a basket from the time we had 52 points only score on the next dozen possessions was two free throws. It wasn't a matter of GT defense stopping us as we had many wide open looks and even a missed lay up or two during that stretch. I know the kids played their hearts out, but if we could have hit any shots we win that game.

I am reminded again of old Hayden's comments in one of his first two seasons when someone was congratulating him on coming close against Nebraska. Something along the lines of "If anyone else congratulates us for losing I'm gonna bust him in the mouth."

Great game played by the Panthers. If only a couple of those close ones would have dropped at the end. Next year looks to be promising. Go Panthers!
The Lord reigns, let the earth be glad; let the distant shores rejoice, clouds and thick darkness surround Him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne. Fire goes before Him, and consumes his foes on every side; His lightning lights up the world; the earth sees and trembles; the mountains melt like wax before the Lord of all the earth. The heavens proclaim His righteousness and all peoples will see His glory.
