easier to just officially forbid tailgating than to try to enforce social distancing and the like at the tailgates.

Makes sense. The school would have huge liability if it didn't have a policy against tailgating.

Just means that when pandemic ends and tailgating starts again we all have to do it bigger and better. I have been perfecting new tailgating recipes.
