Not sure a week off is enough if it is a high ankle sprain.

From Des Moines (or Dead Moines if anyone's been to the new Zombie Burger + Drink Lab in downtown Des Moines, highly recommend it) Register: Northern Iowa tailback Carlos Anderson suffered a leg injury on UNI's second play from scrimmage and did not return to the game. Johnson, a 6-foot-3, 214-pound redshirt freshman, carried the load and scored on a pair of 1-yard runs.

fwiw, I think the majority of UNI's practices in preseason camp and thus far in the season have been outside, with only a few of them being in the Dome.

FWIW, Gary said yesterday on OPR that they practice at 7AM.

Funny though. They kept commenting on how many cramps SFA was having and how odd it was that UNI wasn't having any given SFA practices in this weather all the time.
Yeah...I wonder why that is?!?!? Maybe because SFA is losing and time is running out!

Rennie cannot throw in the pocket so teams load up the box & key on our tailback & then the zone read. We get single cover on our receivers or at worst, they roll a safety over the top.

Nothing like seeing an overweight QB with a bulky knee brace run the ball east/west. Rennie has lots of ability. I simply like the traditional look (I) or a one-back set w/ the tailback logging most of the runs w/ play action. I don't like having a scenario where the QB running the ball on 3rd & 8 gives our offense more comfort than hitting the tight end over the middle. I'm willing to ride it out this year, but really hope we go more traditional next spring. I think our receivers get too underutilized in this offense.

Completely agree! We didn't even cramp up like all of those SFA players...apparently the heat was TOO much for the Jacks
