Andre Martin to transfer to NDSU

I heard a rumor that Andre was transferring to NDSU. He has graduated so he will not have to sit out a year. Has anyone else heard this?

God, I hope not. He's a good player. I don't know why in the hell he would want to transfer after spending 4 good years here, though he would have the connection with his old coach (Klieman) at NDSU.

Regardless if he has graduated and would not have to sit out a year, there should be some sort of in-conference transfer restrictions, as most conferences have. I know the MVC has in-conference transfer restrictions (sit out 2 years). I wouldn't think he would be able to transfer within the conference like that, but I don't know if the MVFC rules are different.

Chris K wouldnt talk when asked. Wierd rumor, sounds like a smart kid if hes considering it, haha just kidding!!

What is wrong with people? How could you possibly do that to your teammates? I don't get it...

I'm guessing he was/is upset about lack of playing time the last couple years after being demoted to a backup last year. But that begs the question, how does he think he is going to just walk on to the campus of the national champions for one year (without going to spring practice) and earn a more significant role than he had here?

ONLY excuse is he likes Chris K more than coach farley, or wants to play with MWILL.


Coach bohl says "once NDSU/UNI game.starts all that matters is between the lines and martin had a bad back, is healthy now"

I don't understand this at all. Unless he's been assured some playing time or something, I don't know why he would transfer.

Also, as was said before, there has to be some in conference rule about this, and if there isn't then a rule needs to be put in place soon. In no other conference would this be allowed.

Andre Martin already earned his undergraduate degree, right? If that's the case, he'd have to enroll in graduate school to play next year. NDSU probably offers a graduate degree in his field; UNI probably doesn't. Add in that he and NDSU's DC also know each other and it kind of adds up.

Boy - if Dougie$ got a cold reception with 6,000 people in Mcleod, Andre is gonna get it worse on Family Weekend. That game is typically close to sold out, if not sold out.
