Its not about whether the game is home or away. The Iowa State games will more than likely be the game with the most eyes of fans and potential recruits watching. The goal is to find something appealing to those recruits and neutral fans and draw their attention. i also hope this rumor is true

Why would we wear special uniforms for an Away game?

1. Look better than the cyclones.
2. it'll likely be hot, white uniforms are cooler.
3. They look good.
4. Studies show when players think they look good they feel good, play better. (see: Oregon Nike study)
5. There will be recruits of UNI and ISU in attendance as well as about 50,000 people with all eyes on UNI.

100% EXACTLY CORRECT

This is exactly the point so many people DO NOT understand about why Oregon does what they do. It's not JUST a Nike look cool thing. What do 16 & 17 year old boys that play football like? Flashy uniforms (also flashy high scoring offenses but not the point). Recruits WILL be watching this game. Guys that ISU might not be offering a scholarship to but are asking them to walk on but wait then UNI offers them a scholarship. What's their only memory of seeing UNI football in person? THey saw UNI come out in cool all white uniforms and helmets and beat ISU on their home field. Decision made. When you're recruiting high school aged kids you have to appeal to them. We should try and do that.

PS- this isn't a grumble about last year thread people it's a move forward, glass is half full, shut up and get excited about Panther Football thread. Wear the white uni's Panthers...or else.

How about white helmets with a purple UNI logo? How about different colored numbering then the typical road uniform, like a dark grey or black? Then auction the uniforms off at unipanthers.com. I remember watching the auctions for the black jerseys a couple of years ago, they brought in a ton of cash.

The Panthers are 0-2 at Iowa State wearing white on white, being outscored something like 50-0. No thanks.
