Re: NDSU V UNI @ Vikings Stadium? 2016

        Interesting idea.
but there wouldn't be 40,000 fans that attended
especially not at $30/$50 a ticket
and I doubt there would be much TV revenue to speak of,
plus the stadium rental fees would be quite high

thus, there wouldn't be much profit, and one team would just be screwed out of a profitable home game.
(of course, I'm utilizing forecasted facts and data, instead of just resorting to namecalling, so this post won't really fit in on this board)

So, Lakes, how many NDSU fans do you think would come to a UNI game in the Twin Cities?

This is the biggest wishful thinking post I've read here, and that's saying something. I realize it's just a conversation starter, but what possible reason would the Vikings have to agree to this? I live in Chicago, and Illinois, Northwestern, Wisconsin, and Northern Illinois have had to beg, plead, etc., to play in Soldier Field, and Wrigley. Remember, the pro teams' ownership (or owners of the stadium) have almost all the leverage in those situations. The colleges in question are pi$$ant by comparison.

              30,000 similar to last 2 NDSU/gopher games.

Ok do $40/ticket lower & $20/upper. No one would lose a home game, you BOTH get home games.
TV revenue won't add up to much but FSN north needs games on.

I think its a viable idea.

Ps did you like the design? I really wish it was retractable

Stein they already have mentioned using stadium for college games, but tcf is brand new so no Minnesota. So NDSU UNI are nearest college teams and could get 40, 000- 50, 000 easily

Why not just play Oregon & Alabama in a double header at Dallas Cowboy Stadium? We could fly in the morning (to save hotel costs) and have 2 hours between games to make certain both the Ducks' & Tide's band can play?

Think of the savings in only one plane flight. Better yet, bus it to Chicago at Solider Field...

Impressive estimate, given that North Dakota's estimated 2013 population is 699,328. Put another way, it means that 672 illegal aliens came south from Canada to watch the Panthers.

Pitt State and Northwest Missouri State have played for several years now at Arrowhead and they are both DII school. 2012 they had 15349 for attendence. One thing that works for these two school is there are a lot of alumni in the area and the drive time is 2 hours for NW fans and 3 hours for Pitt fans. I don't think the overall $ is a whole lot as Pitt State was thinking of dropping the series there so they can play on campus and make more. For this to work there needs to be a lot of alumni in the Twin Cities and the cost to be lower.

Well if they didn't play in Arrowhead then KC residents would never be able to watch competitive football.

                          Zing!

It would be like playing in the MAC championship without joining the MAC.

And yet, the TV numbers and money dwarfed anything the FCS has ever done...
