No. Every single semi-final and championship win is bigger. Much bigger.

If they had been ranked #1 or even top 15 on Friday I'd be much more inclined to believe side with you. But they weren't. The fact they were even sniffing the Top-25 is a credit to last years team and the talent that they had...but graduated. Perhaps the biggest FBS win in MVFC history. But honestly I'm not taking the time to attempt finding a list of the FBS/D-IA wins the conference has had

It's a damn big win. Personally to me the NCs, back to back no less, are much bigger, but to each their own opinion. If we had beaten Iowa when we should have, or Wisconsin last year, those would have been very big wins. Those are teams that have been relevant in BCS conference play. Like KSU. Only time will tell how good they are this year, but I'd be surprised if they aren't in the thick of the B12 race.

Face it, we've only beaten bottom feeder BCS conference teams and teams from second tier FBS conferences. Not that big a deal. If we win today, not that big a deal. Sort of like NDSU's wins over Minnesota.

It's only people who still buy into the myth of FBS vast superiority that think those wins are any big deal.

That's a heck of a good point. I remember being at the UNI/ISU game in '92, and thinking we had conquered the world when we won. After about 20 years of hindsight and several wins and near wins against "BCS level" teams, though, it just feels different when something like last night happens. I won't say that I fully expected us to beat ISU last night, but I'm certainly not going to say that I'm terribly surprised either. A couple of decades of watching a solid football program that has placed players in the pros, made double digit playoff appearances, and been competitive at nearly every turn vs. foes like that will do that.

Eastern Washington over Oregon St was better. Bison don't even have the biggest upset, they just had the first one.

I don't agree with this. I thought the NDSU win ove KSU was very impressive. I do think the EWU win over the Beavers (I love any excuse to use their name) was more impressive but any time an FCS team takes down the Big (almost) XII champs it is an impressive win. Let's not try to undercut their win just because they are NDSU. They earned respect for that one.

I do think the EWU win over the Beavers (I love any excuse to use their name) was more impressive but any time an FCS team takes down the Big (almost) XII champs it is an impressive win. Let's not try to undercut their win just because they are NDSU. They earned respect for that one.

KSU WAS the big 12 champs/co-champs/whatever, but that was last season, and they graduated much of their talent. NDSU's win definitely earns respect, but I still don't consider it a top three win of all time or whatever.

What the hell it is was that he said any FCS win over a BCS team was more impressive than NDSU's win over KSU. I disgree with that. I don't know what the hell is so hard to understand about that. I added that EWU's win was more impressive than NDSU's win however NDSU's win was still impressive. I'm not sure what the hell was so hard to understand about that.

I understand that KSU graduated a lot of their talent from last year's squad and that this year is very different. However it seems to me that many posters here want to make out NDSU's win as less than it was simply because it was NDSU. I don't feel that way, I still think it was a very impressive win. Just how impressive will become clearer as the season progresses. I never once said it was one of the top 3 wins by an FCS team over an FBS. I know someone else referred to that but it wasn't me.

I read that post several times and I never saw "ranked". LOL! Time to get the eyes checked again.
