It's funny that none of them give credit to UNI for playing better, having a much better defense, better coaching, and more drive. Instead they still say they lost to the "worst team on the schedule". Well I hate to root to root for Iowa but I hope the hawks smash them in the ground. I think that may happen.

There are plenty of threads with reasonable posters giving credit to us on CF. Plus why would you want a team that we just beat to go out and lose one of their last remaining winnable games? What benefit do we get from ISU looking terrible this year and not rebounding and playing like the mediocre team they are? The Hawks could go 0-12 this season and it would have no ill-affect on us. If ISU goes 0 and whatever that takes away from Saturdays win. So we might as well pull for ISU to post a respectable record this year considering how tough of a schedule they have.

Fact is that the better UNI can be while at the same time the more mediocre (or flat out sucky) the Hawks and Clones are = the better it is for UNI in this state. Media attention, general water cooler talk and ticket sales all work in our favor if we can win and the other two skid hard. That's just the way it works in a state where we are substantially the 3rd fiddle.

I also don't think ISU having a good or bad year at this point does much for us like it would in basketball. We got our "BCS" win, which will surely carry some weight come playoff seeding time, but the best part about winning on Saturday is that we are now 1-0 and not 0-1 to start the season.

I think people still poked holes in NDSU's bubble every time lakes and others pointed to their Minnesota wins. I'd really like to know that this program beat an average ISU team and not some craptastic bunch of misfits that Rhoades threw out there. It just gives their fans a scapegoat in the future by saying that we won because we played one of their worst teams in the modern time.

I don't care about that thread where they're crying. Can't pay any attention to fans of any school after a loss. Not going to admit a thing.
