    UNI vs. Southern Illinois

    Can't wait to tailgate for the first time this season. Should be a great game and I can't wait for Jeg's "What is a Saluki?" thread!

    SIU's been a little up and down thus far but just picked up a big win in Brookings. Time to move on and get back on a win streak.

    Time for the fans to put the NDSU debacle behind them, and get on with the rest of the season. Next up is a homecoming game against the Salukis.

    Need to get a big crowd. And maybe some Panther fans can learn from the environment in Fargo, and actually cheer while we're on defense.

      We can't afford a hangover. SIU is coming into the dome with a ton of confidence and we're a pretty banged up team.

            Have to put last week behind us. SIU has played well of late, might be the third best team in the league.

                Close loss at Illinois, loss by 3 to undefeated Eastern Illinois in 2OT, and loss by 1 point to Youngstown. Got a big road win last weekend at SDSU. This is a huge game. They are tougher than their record indicates.

                      Your coach is a dip****. We don't like the bissssson and don't understand why you think we like the bisssson on Panthernation. We don't like them here. Is it because some of the panther fans you have met resemble 90% of the fans I saw in the fargobuilding? i.e. "Obese".

                        thank you NDSU fans for your support. Stick around, this is going to be a fun year. We have business to take care of now, there is one place that Dale Lennon likes to attack that has given him such success against UNI (let us not forget he has OWNED us) and that is short passes over the middle. Luckily for us our leading tackler and leader on defense is our Mike backer, oh wait, he is out. I am nervous for this game. Can we win? Absolutely. Should we win? Yes. YSU should have beat UNI several times in 11 years too but didn't. Lennon and his staff have a record of 5-1 against our current staff (I think). What are we going to do to change it? If we show up for the game with the same game plan against this Lennon coached team (in which we have had more talent on the field of in each game) that we have had the last 7 years I fear we are going to have a sour homecoming...

                          I was supposed to have to miss UNI Homecoming for the first time EVER due to work travels. But... now I don't have to fly out until Sunday. I'm absolutely relieved. I would have been one crabby Panther fan to be stuck in the sky during this one.

                              I was in Lincoln on Saturday to watch the Illini get beat pretty handily by a mediocre Husker team (seriously, their defense is atrocious). Almost beating Illinois is like almost beating Iowa State.

                              That said, we definitely cannot overlook this game with such a banged-up squad. We've gotta win this one.
