Win out. Get no worse than the 3 seed.

I just don't believe in Towson...

I'm very pleased we didn't drop. We shouldn't have... but you never know what they're gonna do.
"...the Northern Iowa men's basketball team reached the ultimate highs before hitting a devastating low. Unexpected success, followed by unimaginable failure. And they owned it -- all of it -- for the world to see. Like men. Like leaders. Like champions -- in a way no tournament bracket could ever define."

Glad to see UNI stays put. A game like that was a pretty strong statement that they deserve at least #4.

Towson is not very good (at least not the 3rd best team in the country), but the CAA is also very week, not nearly the CAA of 5 years ago. If they win out they get the 2 seed. There still is an east coast bias.

TSN put out their 1st playoff prediction and has UNI as the 7 seed. Most posters think that is absurd

UNI still has some tough games left. Tougher than anything that Towson has. It's possible that they could lose one, especially with the injury situation. And that would land them in about the 7-seed spot.

that projection has Montana coming to the UNI-Dome for the second-round game. Which would be an interesting situation, but I wouldn't hold my breath on it happening.

If that happens, I'm there with a box full of VHS tapes.

If NDSU runs the table, and the panthers too,the Bison will be seeded #1 and lowest for the Panthers would #3. I cant see the ncaa screwing this up again!!!!

As a Bison fan you are still relatively new to this whole playoff selection thing. You will learn. You will learn.

people label under the misconception that the NCAA sets up the bracket with only team merit in mind.

That is not the case. Team merit is only one factor, but they also try to minimize travel costs, maximize ticket sales, and politics come into play as well.
