I expect USD fans will feel like we did after a few weeks reflection on what the ISU win in Ames meant to us. You feel pretty darn good at the time, but realize later through watching the other team's remaining games that it wasn't what you thought it was.

Keep it real Panther Fans. This was a legit win from USD. The total yards were 510-315 in favor of the Coyotes or something to that effect. No amount of officiating or bad breaks can make up for a near 200 yard difference in total yards. The Yotes won this game because they have a confidence about themselves that has been growing at an accelerated rate. They stayed in the game because they have a coach that has won multiple national championships including won at D1 FCS Montana. Over time teams tend to play to the level of their competition. USD was 0-8 last year in conference but they weren't going to stay a doormat forever. I did not expect a win today to be honest but a close game was certainly no surprise. A win was a fairly large one in my opinion. When the two teams rematch next year in Vermillion dare I say that the Yotes will have a good shot to make it 2 in a row.

If UNI is healthy next year, I fear for your team's safety on that field. With the chip they're going to be carrying on their shoulders from this awful loss, it won't be pretty.

Geez, give USD some credit. They came into the UNIDome and won the game. All teams have injuries this time of year. The Bison have had a ton of them too. All five starting O-lineman were finally back today. Depth is really important this time of year. I'm eating crow with USD; I thought they would struggle again this year but they have made definite improvements.

Is UNI's season over? No.

If they win out they are in. Even if they finish 7-4 they are in with a FBS win.

The Valley is crazy this year.

Speaking of class, thanks for stopping by our board for the first time the morning after our third straight 1 score/OT loss. That's exactly what we were looking for.

First of all, congrats to the Yotes. Great win, you kept at it until the Panthers folded, and fold they did. You played a great game and stayed with your game plan and it worked. Having said that, I'm not sure why UNI's lines have given up blocking and tackling. Anyway, that's UNI's problem, not yours. I did note in the program there are 11 kids from SD on the team. There are 13 from Iowa on the USD team. There may be some credence in Jay's post about recruiting, but Paul Rhoads has seemingly stopped recruiting Iowa, so UNI could make up the difference there. BTW there are 60 Iowans on UNI's roster. FWIW.

Im not giving USD any credit....sorry. This loss was the climax to years of bad play calling, and people's growing feeling that we may need to go another direction coaching wise. Any USD fan that thinks they came in and beat anything more than a drain circling, confidence shattered, horribly injured and underachieving team doesn't understand our expectation level as a program.

Before the game you guys are the greatest team ever and we stand no chance. We come from behind and win at your place and it deserves no credit? If I go read the NDSU game thread will I see you talking down about them to? I don't think this kind of letdown could have happened to a more deserving fan than you. You sound like the guy who won't shake hands after being beaten clean and fair. Class up.

Yeah, okay dude. First off we definitely did not view ourselves as the greatest team ever. Far from it following the SIU game. Also even you didn't give the Yotes a chance beforehand.

I will give you this, at least you showed up before the game to talk and convere with us. That makes you a better man than all the slap sticks who thought they'd puff out their chests after being the 2nd team to beat that rotting carcass of a team that limped out of Fargo. The last game in the series is the most important one but most of us realize that this doesn't signal the dawning of the Coyotes over the Panthers.
