          Southern has to be right on the edge of being ranked. Two losses, by a combined regulation score of 41-40. Hopefully a lot of this week goes into mental preparation and punching the Coyotes right out of the gate (not literally)

            I would think so too, but TSN still has last week's poll up on their poll page. I constructed that list from their "article" about the poll, which didn't include the "others receiving votes" list.

              speaking of punching, did anyone else see the play where one of our defenders was rushing into the SIU backfield, and the Saluki player basically clotheslined him? Resulted in a "holding" call, but IMO, it should have been more.

                No they didn't. They lost to UNI by 35 pts.

                  After having watched UNI's performace on Saturday, absolutely.
                  the current Panther team is not the same team that blew out McNeese.

                    I'd take SIU over any team McNeese has played to this point. The competition isn't comparable in the slightest

                      oops, I had forgotten SDSU at #15 in my original post. also, I added last week's positions, and the point/vote totals. Still no update of the actual poll page on TSN, but I was able to get some info from the MVFC website.

                      Evidently SIU was essentially #26, just 24 points shy of cracking the top 25.

                        That was then, this is now. The offense we put on the field against SIU is the worst I can ever remember seeing at UNI. There have been many years when our offense was poor and our defense carried us as far as they could. Those offenses were light years ahead of the one last Saturday.

                            I have a hard time believing any offense could be worse than the one we ran out on to the field at Iowa State in 2010.
