Petrie had two all american tackles (Deike and Setterstrom), Marlus Mays WR (brief stints in and out of NFL camps) Eddie Galles WR (brief stints in and out of NFL camps), Jake Soliday WR (NFL Career), and Ryan Hannam TE (NFL Career).

Not to take away any of Tom's accomplishments but Tom had arguably the best supporting cast.... don't let my facts get in the way of your opinion though

DJ is going to be playing on Sundays in a couple years.

Did Horne even make any NFL camps?

I said you wouldn't agree with me. Funny how people can manipulate "facts" but half the people you listed were seniors when he was a freshman and long gone when he reached his prime. As far as best supporting cast, I would side with the people who rated UNI the consensus #1 team in the country a few years later. Like someone else said "if your TE is a starting lineman in the NFL, you had a pretty goood line".

Here's an unsupportable opinion for ya, if either Sanders or Petrie were in the Richmond game we would have had our national championship by now.

If we would have continued to give the ball to C-Lew against Delaware, instead of getting pass happy we would have our National Title by now, well maybe App. St. was really good that year.

Not sure why it's necessary to speak negatively of David Horne.

He was awesome during UNI's stretch run to the national championship game in 2005.

Wish we had more time with Horne at UNI. Probably the most under-rated player in Farley era.

I hate these threads cuz we should have done more....

We can agree on that one! Don't mind me, I'm just pissy after watching all the first round blowouts in the first round of the playoffs.

Some of these guys were technically Dunbar recruits, but played most of their careers under Farley. Just my two cents...

RB - Hard to remove Johnson or Lewis, but I would include Adam Benge. 3x All Conference, All-American, 3x MVFC Player of The Week, UNI All-Time record 4 Touchdowns in a game, 5th All-Time Touchdowns Scored, 5th All-Time All Purpose yards
OL - Have to include Ben Deike! 4x MVFC Player of The Week, 3x All Conference, 1x All-American
DL - Matt Mitchell - 3x All Conference, 3x MVFC Player of The Week, 1x All American, #2 All Time UNI Career Sacks (#1 for D-Line), 3rd All Time TFL
LB - Casey Tierney - If injuries would not have prevented him from playing the majority of snaps could have been #1 on this list
DB - No Justin Sandy or Benny Sapp?!?
K - Mac for President! 5x MVFC Player of The Week, 3x All Conference, 2x All American, UNI Record for Longest Field Goal, UNI Record Field Goals Attempted, UNI Record Field Goals Made, 6th All Time Points Made,
                      P - Derek Frost - #1 All Time De-Cleaters
