It is time. 23-20 more importantly 13-14 in conference in four seasons and be lucky to win 5 games overall this season.

I'm not sure I'm on this bandwagon, but it is time for something to change. We all thought the new OC would help, but whether he wasn't allowed to do his thing or whatever, this is awful.

I think the OC is in over his head and wasn't the right person for the job.

We also can't afford to pay our assistants so... I guess you get what you pay for.

And they owned it -- all of it -- for the world to see. Like men. Like leaders. Like champions -- in a way no tournament bracket could ever define."

Who do we target? I don't know if we could even afford to buy him out....so hypothetically who could we get? We do need to head in a different direction soon. Things haven't been good for a while now. I think we are surviving off of name at this point. Recruits are still somewhat interested with our history. At the end of the day we need someone who can get and develop qb's.

Wow, you should call the Athletic Director.

You think Kliemann would come back? He is from Waterloo and PLAYED at UNI. Also a MAC conference offensive coordinator. Average salary is $130,000 and opportunity to run own program and with a pay raise.

Fire the volleyball coach and get a new one at half the price. Use the saving for football.

Nobody cares that much about volleyball when they are good. $20 got you a season ticket to volleyball and basketball a coupe years ago. That comes out to about 75 cents a game probably.

All those people in there today, if football tanks you will not get crowds like that.

Could you share what leads you to believe this?

He had no problem running an offense at the college level in the past. Schemes don't change across divisions, just athletes.

Is Paup head coach material? Sure does a nice job with the dline.

The real sign of the budget concerns was when we did not go out and hire an OL coach when Nelson left

So men's basketball gets everything at the expense of everything?

Long term that is no way to run a athletic department.

I'm not in the fire Farley camp, but would be absolutely ecstatic if Bryce Paup was named UNI's next head coach.

                          Re: Fire Farley

I know Farley has put everything he's got into this program. And I know he loves the university. But in the end...that's not enough.

The program has plateaued...at a level that will consistently put us middle of the pack in the MVFC.

His record in close games is not good.

Recruits are leaving his back yard to go to other FCS programs.

His handling of the QB situation this year has been chaotic. He hasn't developed a QB in years. And at this level of ball...if you don't have a QB you simply aren't going to win.

The stunt with spending the off-season putting in a new offense and then bailing on it 10 days before your first game was a huge blunder...and may have crippled this season. You don't see that kind of chaos in winning programs.

And I think that was the move that has cost Farley his fan base. No one wants to see him revert back to the same act we've seen for 5+ years. Which means seats will be empty. And UNI can't have that.

So yes...I think it's time for a change.

ranks right up there with getting involved in a land war in Asia, and going against a Sicilian when death is on the line

I think Farley gets two more years because his kid plays. I think he is forced to retire after that if the team continues to spin its tires.

Basketball is sucking up the resources so I think football will be put on the back burner for two more years.
