Klieman usually does his weekly NDSU press conferences in shirt, tie, and blazer.

Has he said if the Bison win, will he coach the NC game or not?

Yes, he'll go do the recruiting period in Manhattan and then go back to Fargo for game prep.

You must be referring to assistant coaches at K-State, because Bill Snyder has been the head coach there for pretty much the whole FCS era and most of the I-AA era, and he has no FCS experience.

Vbfan19, I reread this entire thread. I don't see anywhere that anyone here has criticized Klieman's coaching abilities. No one is doubting his abilities. Many probably wish he would have became our head coach and Farley gone.

Those individuals who have talked about his wardrobe choices are referring to the fact that when one is seeking a new job you always put your best foot forward. You want to make the best impression possible in your new environment. Dressing sharply is part of the job interview game. Most job counselors will tell you that dressing poorly and not bringing a resume are two of the worst mistakes to make in the job hunt. I wish Klieman the best of luck in his new position.

everyone seems happy for klieman.... but the pic of him and our recruiting ops guy on a K state plane last night has ruffled a few feathers....

there is 1 ndsu commit that turned down K State for NDSU. Chris CAN take him since he was offerred b4 by K state.... but he cant contact the other commits. so itll get a lil dicey here

Ive heard rumors of ndsu current DC Entz gettin head job, then chris needs to find a DC... Farley?? Bo Pelini?? that would be hilarious.

and yes I do see him back at UNI at end of career possibly.. his parents and brother still there and even though its a rivalry, he has loyalty.

NDSU will be just fine regardless, a top 50 FBS program stuck in fcs
UNI has #2 Dome in MVFC, but Ice Lounge rocks! BisoNation.com

There is literally zero rules that states he can't recruit anyone with an ndsu offer.

                    A handshake agreement means nothing

Also if the recruit decides to contact him then any handshake agreement means even less

The guy just inked a $14 + million deal. He could afford to spend a couple of bucks. Maybe by a K State shirt and have it overnighted to his house. Optics matter, especially if many FBS fans/donors regard you as a hick from a small school (regardless of ability). .

Yup, Snyder was OC at Iowa before his two stints at K State. Might be confusing with Terry Allen's unhappy experience at KU.

no handshake rule. ITS IN THE CONTRACT. NDSU did this to Klieman because of what happened with Craig Bohl and Wyoming stealing that good RB and JOsh allen

So how you going to enforce that?

Good point, college coaching contracts have always been iron clad documents enforced to the letter.

How are you going to tell somebody they can't change their commitment when they haven't signed an LOI or financial aid agreement?

Huh? Really? I would have to see that to believe it. A clause like that would be worth no more than what both parties want it to mean. It really isn't much more than a handshake agreement between the school and the coach. Does the contract prescribe a penalty (double the buyout for each violation)?
