I saw McElvain play in HS and I think he completed over 60% of his passes in the CIML and did have a pretty live arm from what i remember. He was really a one man show for DM Lincoln. If he has "traditional" qb size he's probably not a kid we get to recruit but at the same time plenty of high level QB's are showing you don't need to be 6'3 -6'6 to play the position at a high level. How he has transitioned to college football is the real question. Is he accurate enough to throw into smaller windows so to speak. I hope to get a look at him in the spring game.
Agreed Clenz...all recruiting rankings are somewhat flawed...FCS level would be even worse. But it's the off-season and there's not a lot to discuss so conjecture about the 18/19 year olds coming to campus is all we have
