I wondered if there'd be one. I think there are some events in the Dome in the latter part of April...wonder if that is conflicting with potential game.

I'm assuming Farley us working on filling the WR, RB and DB coaching slots and needs to get some/all done to have effective practices.

I felt like it had happened before, but I couldn't remember when.

According to Cole Bair, the spring game is scheduled for 2:00 on April 27th.

The same info was in the WCF Courier earlier this week.

Except there's a Monster Truck show in the Dome that same day...

I know for a fact they were telling people there would be no spring game. I'm completely fine with that changing, but I can't find any evidence of it online, not that I would expect anything different from our athletic department. I'm not local so I don't get the Courier, but I don't see anything on their website about it.

I reached out to UNI Football on Twitter and got a response. The Monster Truck show has been delayed. The game on the 27th is accurate as of right now, at 2pm, but that is subject to change, according to the response I received.
"...the Northern Iowa men's basketball team reached the ultimate highs before hitting a devastating low. Unexpected success, followed by unimaginable failure. And they owned it -- all of it -- for the world to see. Like men. Like leaders. Like champions -- in a way no tournament bracket could ever define."

I hope there is a spring game. I would love to bring my daughter back for the day.

We are 4 weeks out. I don't exactly understand why it would be subject to change if the thing preventing the game was the event.

It's subject to change based on the overall health of the team. In other words...do we have enough healthy bodies to go live fire.

If not, I think the intent is to do some controlled scrimmaging. I assume that means not tackling to the ground.

An article in the WCF Courier this week stated "running back Trevor Allen, center Mason Neisen, offensive lineman Nick Ellis, safety Christian Jegen, linebacker Chris Kolarevic and defensive tackle Jared Brinkman will not participate in spring drills. Wide receiver Isiah Weston, a preseason all-conference pick last year before suffering a knee injury, will be held out of contact drills."
