  • Another player transfers to a program with UNI ties

Chris Kolarevic To Nebraska. Former coaches are coming in and taking some of our good talent. Even tho he’s been injured he’s been a great player for us. This hurts with him having 2 years left.

He announced on the 20th he would be transferring.

Damn. Is he immediately eligible? That’s the only thing that makes sense, unless he thinks there’s no spring season?

December graduate that is immediately eligible and will also be able to play next year for the Bug Eaters...
If computers ruled college basketball the way they do football, we'd have skipped all this March Madness monotony and just waited a month for the Kansas-Kentucky title game. And watched Northern Iowa play Cornell in the Poulan Weedeater Bowl. ~ Dwight Perry The Seattle Times

Essentially the day Kolarevic entered the portal, Nebraska began reaching out and now Kolarevic put his name in the transfer portal a little over a week ago and announced he had committed to Nebraska via Twitter Thursday evening. While it was not an easy decision to leave UNI, he felt the timing was right to take his talents to a higher level.

OMG, we just had a spambot make an intelligible post on a timely thread. They usually come in on threads that haven't been posted to in about 6 years and speak in broken english. This is next level spambotting, it's only a matter of time before they become self aware.

Let's not get carried away. They did think Nebraska was "higher level" so they're still working out some kinks

Do you think it was a bit surreal for Briley Moore to look at that 45-0 scoreboard vs Iowa State after a triple OT game in a UNI uniform the prior year.

Not trying to be chippy...but the irony had to cross his mind.

Was K State missing any significant players for that game due to Covid?

They were missing two linebackers, but two linebackers do not make for a 40 point swing.

the articles I've read seem to indicate that they were missing alot more than just 2 players.. The coach was worried that they might fall below the Big 12 threshold of minimum players required to play a game.

True but all their stars on offense were healthy except at qb..having a 3rd string starter doesnt help.

It’s fair to say K State was distracted by Covid. There were news stories all week prior to the game about their Covid situation. However, that’s no excuse for getting blown out. K-State is a better team than that, and far closer to ISU than 40 points.
