I would point out that we made the finals in '05 with only the opening round game at home.

Had no business beating New Hampshire but David Horne was Walter Payton for 3 hours, it's near physically impossible that the ball got through to Surrency on the 2 point conversion, the worst coaching decision in the history of football and Matt Tharp was so wildly out of position that the ball hit him.
I could go for some more of that magic, it's been too long.#MACtion

Not in the least. The fact is we can't lose anymore to win the National Title. Getting to the title game means playing at home. We're not at home come the round of 16 with 8-3. So, we can't be less than 9-2. In 1992 YSU won it all playing on the road, but that's the only exception I recall.

If we are 8-3 with losses to Iowa State, NDSU (at Fargo), and either SDSU, SIU or Missouri State, with wins against two of those teams we could be in play for the 8 seed. But at the same time there have been other UNI teams screwed by the committee so I expect that to happen again.
