If we win our last 3 games which we are favored in we would be 8-3 with losses to Iowa State, NDSU, and South Dakota. Two losses are "quality" losses. We would have wins against SIU, SDSU, Sac State who should be playoff teams. But somehow we are going to be denied a seed and a bye aren't we? SIU or Sac State would probably get one ahead of us.

We are going to get screwed out of a seed again aren't we?

Yes.
IF the last three games are won this team, sadly, still won't get a seed.
Nevermind the wins over likely Big Sky Champ by 3 scores on the road. The win on the road vs SDSU. The win vs SIU. The win vs MSU.
Losing to USD was so unbelievably unforgivable in the eyes of voters, and the committee, that it will be the only thing they look at.

It usually would take 9-2. We'd have to have it fall just right to get to 8-3 and the 8th seed. It's starting to feel like we're not seeded playing on Thankgiving at home in a 48-7, game. Then get shipped to Fargo the next week.Last edited by BrockLesnar; 11-02-2021, 05:28 AM.

It's easy to be leery with the history we've had with the committee but if we finish the job, we're going to be seeded. Computer numbers are going to have us 3rd overall, 5 game winning streak with 3 Top 15ish wins and a win over the outright Big Sky champ at their place.
Not only will we be seeded, we'd have a shot at getting two home games. Sac State was 9-3 in 2019 with nothing approaching the non-league wins we've got and got the 4.Last edited by BCPanther; 11-02-2021, 07:43 AM.#MACtion

Iowa State was a 5th-ranked FBS team when UNI played them. The failed big last week, but may work their way back into the FBS Top 25 by selection time.
As usual, it comes down to the competence of the selection committee, so ....
With the past three Thanksgiving playoff games pulling even fewer people (just over 4k in '17 and '18, just under 4k in '19) than last weekend, would bidding to host a game even be the agenda this year? What is the formula for preparing the bid? I know season average attendance is part of it."Well, that escalated quickly."

Yeah, let's worry about winning the next 3 before entertaining any thought of playoff positioning.Give us a yell, HO! The purple and the gold
Victory for U-N-I!
Find out what the other team wants to do, then take it away from them.

also, I'm sure that if the committee gave UNI a seed, they'd likely put an unseeded MVFC team in the first round game that fed into UNI (and the MVFC team would likely win that first around game)

Gotta beat someone besides Robert Morris to win a trophy
Neither one went well.
I'd kill for a crack at them at home in the playoffs though.#MACtion
