He said Benny Sapp has wanted to do some coaching for years and the situation/timing was right this year. And works out he can be there for his son's final season.

Not sure how D-Hall got in the mix.

Farley commented he was excited for the players to have the chance to be coached by 2 guys that know UNI and also have significant NFL experience.

It's why he needs to be our AD.

Benny Sapp … the OG Panther looks to be coming on staff. Eliot just tweeted an instagram snap shot. Hope this is correct, that would be BIG.

    We hired a D Coordinator/Secondary Coach.

    Randall McCray

Most recently at FIU after 3 years with the Arizona Cardinals. He's made at least a dozen stops in his career. Older guy. Feels very Shawn Watson-ish.

Another thing that apparently has to be a closely guarded secret.

Tate said in an interview he wants to coach TEs.

I suspect Farley had told him he needs to hire an OC who would likely also be QB coach.

Just conjecture...but based on Drew's comments I think he knew he'd likely not have QBs.

Not yet anyway. KoK is what, 70 or so? He’s put in his time and deserves a nice retirement. KoK was also a huge fan of Spencer Petras, so it will be interesting to see what happens with Iowa’s QB situation with him leaving. Sorry for hijacking the thread with Hawkeye talk.
