  • ***Week 3 at Nebraska***

Just wanted to get this going

I'll be roaming the sideline Saturday night taking photos, let's hope the offense shows out

This is the first time (ever?) that I have genuinely thought we had zero chance to win an FBS game. Doesn’t matter who we played, Iowa, ISU, Wisconsin, BYU, I always thought there was a path to win (and we sometimes did), and we almost always gave them a game.

We are in self preservation mode in this one. Survive, and don’t get embarrassed.

Nebraska has a short week, they play Illinois on Friday night, so I semi-expect that he'll call off the dogs early. Just don't get blitzed in the first half.

If we play like we did against St. Thomas, it will be over by the end of the first quarter. Nothing to lose, and everything to gain by even being competitive.
Give us a yell, HO! The purple and the gold
        Victory for U-N-I!

Find out what the other team wants to do, then take it away from them.

Keep it within 60, maybe Tye Edwards breaks a few 8 yard runs, come home without anybody lost to injury for the season.

These next five games have the potential to be one of the worst five game stretches in UNI football history.

Why don't we just go shock the world

Looks like Nebraska is a 27 1/2 point favorite - if we can run the ball maybe we can cover... biggest goal is to be competitive, and leave lincoln healthy and with a check.

I'll be watching to mostly to see if we get a look at Daley or Sheckelman. I'm not sold on Dunne, but maybe I'll be surprised. the low completion percentage against PFL teams while we're piling up tons of rushing yards is concerning.

I've seen it happen in person. This is my nephew scoring the late 4th quarter TD as Georgia Southern beat Nebraska in Lincoln.

The site isn't letting me upload a photo, but here is a link to my favorite football moment ever. I got to see it live from the goal line about 5 rows up.

Hail Southern. We put the "L" in Lincoln!

                          Go Panthers and do likewise.

Nebraska has been a fraud for decades in so many ways. When they make the announcement about the number of consecutive sellouts, look in the upper deck and see how many entire rows of people just happen to be going to the bathroom at the same time. Count the number of old farts wearing red Starter jackets even with temps in the 80's.
