    Not targeting though.

Very costly play. No penalties assessed.

        Wanted a TD there.

I'm watching the game on TV - the pass was tipped. The refs were stating that the defender was holding back / not attacking when the contact happened.

I would have thought there would have been a targeting when QB Dunne was passing and a husker hit him facemask to facemask.

I'm angry for our players. They played hard and didn't seem overmatched on the LOS. It was a truly appalling game from the officials. I didn't think we would win. I had hope, but I'm realistic. It was impossible to do anything close with the way this game was officiated tonight.

I actually feel better about our offense after a 3 point game than I ever thought I would. They were running the ball well against a stingy defense. Hopefully Pryor and Dunne's injuries aren't too significant and we can get healthy before Hawaii.

Impressed by the O-line - they were holding their own. I thought they were winning in the run game blocking consistently.

Wondering about Dunne - it looked like someone rolled up on his leg / knee.

Pretty damn good effort by the boys.

Clearly we were very physical on offense. They spread us out on D and we gave their receivers too much room.

Agree with the prior comment that the officiating was horrendous. Exactly what I expected we'd get in a "pay" game. No mystery there.

Had no idea what to expect and was pretty impressed with how the boys showed up in a really rough spot.
Winning is more fun than losing.

If you look purely at the stats you’d assume we had an average rushing day at best. Watching the actual game though, we were able to run effectively, drive the ball and chew up time of possession. It’s one thing to do that against a non-scholly FCS team, but Nebraska came in with one of the top rushing Ds nationally. Very good to see against that level of competition. After the game Ruhle was complimentary of our physicality and said it was a good test since they’ll see similar power running offenses in the B1G. They play Illinois next, another team that likes to run with a big power back.

i was impressed by the offense against a quality D. O line looked really solid. Dunne looked much better, was an effective runner. Threw the ball better other than the pick where he had a guy open. Scheckleman looked good in relief late. throws a nice ball seems like he gets it out quick. Hope Dunne isn't dinged up too bad.

D had the tougher day but I think that's a really good Nebraska team. I second what was said above we were solid against the run but got carved up in the pass game but some of that is elite QB play by Riola and they've got a lot of talent catching the ball.

Hopefully Pryor and Dunne aren't injured too severely.

Lots and lots of positives last night and really makes you feel like beating an average at best Hawaii team seem plausible next week.

I think I'd like to see more of Scheklman but it might be too late to make that switch.

Feels like a playoff team to me.

So do we have any updates on Dunne yet? I'm assuming we'll here more from Farley's presser at noon but just... wondering what we think as of this morning.
"...the Northern Iowa men's basketball team reached the ultimate highs before hitting a devastating low. Unexpected success, followed by unimaginable failure. And they owned it -- all of it -- for the world to see. Like men. Like leaders. Like champions -- in a way no tournament bracket could ever define."

Not saying anything that hasn't been said yet, but that was as good of a 31 point loss as I've ever seen. Only one 3-and-out. Plenty of good 5+ yard runs against a ranked FBS defense. For as low as I was one Dunne prior to this game, he made some really good throws under pressure that I haven't seen him make before. The INT wasn't good, but that receiver probably gets blown up for an incompletion if it was on target anyway - probably a bad read all around. Pass protection was maybe sub-par but Nebraska has some good defensive lineman.

Defense was solid, too. Felt like we weren't overmatched physically - I thought UNI was delivering solid hits just as often as Nebraska. Gave up some big plays and had some coverage lapses but again, that's a ranked FBS offense. Hopefully Pryor and Dunne don't miss time and we can really build off this. Hard to believe this is the same team that had to get lucky to beat St Thomas.

I saw a quote from Dunne that stated it was a rolled ankle. How that ankle feels a day or two later, TBD.

BTW, Scheklman was playing against the Nebraska 2s - for whatever that is worth.
