I love that he's been working with Sonnen. Also, sounds like he's a strong defender. I was a little iffy at first, but the kid seems pretty good.

Quote from the article:
Through conversations with UNI’s coaches, Klingsporn believes there will be an opportunity for Kimmons to contribute immediately if he prepares himself and performs the right way.

Drake fans are psyched. He fills a need and has good size and rebounds fine, but his stats at FGC are not inspiring.
Brady Ernst tweeted before his commitment that he was gonna be in the tournament next year. Good luck with that...
Gonna sound like a big time hater, but I'll be shocked if they finish top 4 next year in the valley

Norton ain't getting a waiver. He's done.
Year 2 is always harder than Year 1. I think they're going to be fine in the future but the rebuild catches somewhere. I'd pencil them in 5th/6th right now which is actually a helluva year for Drake.
Super, super early look at next year--
Tier 1--Missouri State, UNI, Loyola
Tier 2--Bradley, Illinois State
Tier 3--Illinois State, Drake, Evansville, Indiana State
Tier 4- Southern Illinois, Valpo#MACtion

The Kimmons signing looks very promising based on the two linked videos in this thread and articles. Exactly what UNI needs - an outstanding on-ball defender, a penetrating PG that can break down defenses and kick out to AJ et al.
A step in the right direction. And how about those sweet player introduction gyrations?
Could be a great pickup and exactly what we need!Last edited by skydog0784; 04-04-2019, 04:48 PM.

I thought I read somewhere that they prefer running our offense with two bigs if the personnel allows, but they couldn't this year because we didn't have the bodies.
If that is true, any chance we go to a "line-change" type substitution pattern like we have had in some years previous. Thinking something like this.
Starters:
AJ
Trae
Isaiah
Luke
Austin
Sub Team:
Kimmons
Spencer
Tywhon
Biggie
Dahl
Just thinking out loud.
