  • The good part is that I don't think that he will be called on to play as big of a role as some on here think. Spencer will move more into Wyatt's role next year, and Tywhon will be able to play more minutes than he did this year, hopefully. You also have to figure we will play more with two forwards, and three guards this year having Phyfe back, but still play a lot of 4 guard looks. My guess is that he plays 10-12 minutes per game.

Right now I would guess the minute distribution will look like this.

    AJ- 31 mpg
    Isaiah- 28 mpg
    Trae- 28 mpg
    Phyfe- 25 mpg
    Haldeman- 25 mpg
    Pickford 23 mpg
    McDonnell 18 mpg
    Kimmons 12 mpg
    Dahl 5 mpg
    Goldman 5 mpg

This could change if another freshman doesn't redshirt, but part of me thinks that all of the others will redshirt.

Whatever the case, I'm really excited to see what the team has in store for us. Even with this ugly season I had a blast following along
Completely agreed. The full implementation of the new Euro offense is another unknown, and possible cause for optimism.

      • There's no rational reason to predict UNI finishing way ahead of Drake next year. I expect Drake to win the conference, they probably have the best coach and it is hard to predict how good they will be with a full year of coaching and recruiting instead of a month. I hope UNI gets back to finishing cleanly in the top half of the conference and we aren't sweating playing on Thursday the last week of the season.

        • Just saw the Des Moines Register top 15 Iowa Class of 2021 was posted. We'll have 2 rides open barring no surprises (or 3, if Biggie gets a year back) and are obviously big into Iowa recruits. Any insight?

                • I like the ISUBlue backcourt next year with Barnes, Key and Williams but not sure outside of that.

I am not very high on that ISUred roster right now though. Lose an absolute ton of talent (Fayne, Yarbrough, Jefferson, Tinsley, Evans). Why are you higher on them?

History and talent level. Even though they've lost a lot you know that roster isn't going to be short on talent. Couple that with how Indiana State has faded down the stretch in the last few years and that's it. Realistically they both fall into that 'middle tier'

Courbat and Morgan are the interesting ones to me. My wish would be that Courbat develop and we are able to steal a higher ceiling player because of the hometown ties. Always room for another Morgan at UNI, but do we know what his best sport is going to be?

Sharar from Iowa Falls has UNI connections as well. Father or uncle was a TE on the FB team in the mid-90s.

The guys in that list who I’ve seen linked to us are Duax and Winkel. Both of Duax’s parents are UNI alums.

The PG from Council Bluffs got some attention earlier in the year as a P5 level recruit. I’m surprised he’s that far down the list.

I actually noticed this as well but it does look like a mistake. He has Freeman as an incoming freshman that will average 2 ppg. Something is a little messed up.
