If there is a D2 basketball coach that has a win percentage of 94%, is there any argument that Nick Saban is doing a better job at Alabama than Coach John Doe is running the Northwest State basketball program?

However, you criticize UNI football. I criticize no UNI team. I simply am trying to get to the bottom of the collective false perception among "fans" and why they see 61% as more successful than 65%.
Please tell me why it's perfectly acceptable for you to continually criticize the UNI basketball program, even when additional context is provided to you (since you have openly admitted that you don't follow basketball much) and still consider yourself a UNI super fan, yet you think anyone who feels that UNI football has noticeably declined in recent seasons, something that has borne out by the win-loss records and lack of consistent playoff berths, is somehow lacking in their fandom.

Had you been able to notice nuance I'm fascinated by collective perceptions (life in general, as well), and particularly one's that are either false or uninformed. So, I can't get over how the basketball team, led by Jacobson, is perceived to be rocking it and "worth every penny we pay," while the football team is dismal, yet the football team has significantly outperformed the basketball team. You'd also notice, had you the ability to, that I don't sit on here live during basketball games and begin criticizing the opening introductions to the team until them walking off the court. And, I don't incessantly say, "yeah, but..." when the basketball team wins because I'm always happy with a win. You, by contrast, are not.
You'd be hard pressed to find any DIRECT criticism of a UNI team or coach by myself.
Just fascinated by collective perceptions, particularly false ones, my friend.Last edited by A Fan In Lean Years; 07-07-2021, 11:45 AM.

It is clearly a pointless exercise to debate.
False. I follow college football more than I do college basketball, and follow UNI football as much as I do UNI basketball.
Assuming that I didn't follow the UNI teams, would the winning percentage numbers be different, ma'am?
I'll leave the, "to be fair" irony for the readers to marvel at. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, yes, I knew and you knew HOW I knew! I have FULL intention of "following" the few games that I'll miss this season utilizing my same method. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Got me on that one, my man! Why, there's NO better comparison than comparing a Division I coach with a budget as high as the heavens to a Division II coach who, comparatively, barely gets by.

My favorite way to find a UNI football score though is to just look at the size of a gameday thread, after the game is over. Several pages=fair-weather fans calling for Farley's job. Few pages=UNI victory, with ZERO celebration from "fans" such as yisself. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Last edited by A Fan In Lean Years; 07-09-2021, 10:14 AM.
