Again, there isn't an answer to your reference we're not dropping down to D2 and we can't by some miracle become UCLA.

I like quirky things and Belmont being the last game last year and the first game this year, both at home, is quirky.

Belmont should be pretty decent, so that's a hell of an 11 day stretch for the end of November.

One could say an advantage early on is we have a lot of returning pieces, but we have a lot of new ones to incorporate, too.

We are one of 38 current teams not to have released a nonconfrece schedule yet. Of them 29 still have openings on the d1 docket. Only see 10 relalistic possibilities for a home and home. So the likelihood of us getting another d1 game (unless we buy another) are shrinking by the day.

With the schedule we currently have, I'd be fine if we just do two more buy games. Three games against good/great P5 schools, a road game in the AAC, two road games against MAC schools, one of which is no slouch, a home game against an A-10 team we've really struggled with, and then at the very end, two not so great DI teams. I'm fine with that. Let's get Cornell and Wartburg on the phone. We got a lot of new pieces and no seniors (technically), we don't need to go crazy.

Always hard to find that quality home and home anyway and when you don't have the flexibility to go on the road first it makes it even harder. Just find two more, even if they're non-DIs to stick in that first couple weeks.

FWIW, Upper Iowa doesn't have anything listed for that first week...

I know I say this every year, but it's time for Coach Mac to put his "friend hat" back on and schedule an home and home with the Panthers.

I know he and Jake are friends, and they don't want to compete against each other, but they need to get over that for one night a year.
