I think I'm ready to see Hornseth take on a larger role. He plays hard, he stands his ground on D, he can actually grab rebounds, and he's shooting 73%.

If you have a big that can score and rebound at that clip, you gotta find a way to get him on the court more.

And run some plays to get him the ball under the hoop. He's got so much more ability to score with his back to the basket than Hutty. Time to use that.

I agree on Hornseth, but the only thing that worries me a bit is that he will create some congestion in the middle. He hasn't shown the ability to be a threat from outside at all. He is a significant boost over Hutty on the glass though. If you have Hornseth and Ty in the game, rebounding should be great. I think they other three players on the court would all have to be threats from outside.

I'm not convinced our best lineup isn't the one that played most of the last 10 minutes.

          Schmitt
          Weisbrod
          Bond
          Anderson
          Hutson

Weisbrod has gotten really good as he's played more. There certainly feels like there's a lot more motivation from the two guys that have moved up. It's going to be real hard to beat good teams when we don't get any offense from Campbell and Schwieger.

If Schmitt and Weisbrod can hit the 3 ball consistently, they need to take the minutes that Campbell, Schwieger, and Pock would have. Those three have been ice cold, beyond the one monster game by Campbell, but that was a huge outlier.

Here's my thing, Hutty had 2 Reb in 27 min. That's just not good enough.

Hornseth has soft hands, can rebound, and can score at high clip in the paint. Our offense is not good, we need to take as many easy buckets as we can get, and Hornseth give us that at least.

I think Campbell is still the biggest threat from 3 on the team. He has a quicker release and can get his own if needed. Schweiger hit a couple last night but he needs to be pretty much wide open. I like Max but he takes awhile to get that ball off.

Agree with all of this. Max has a weird windup on his shot. Love that he is knocking them down but he needs to be open. Campbell is still the best ball handler on the team and if teams are applying any amount of pressure, he's the best option to combat that. It's moot anyway because Jake is never pulling him from the starting lineup baring some extreme event.

Most of Hutty's time out there is spent sharing the floor with Tytan, Bond, and Schwieger, who are all going to eat up those defensive rebounds. It has been discussed numerous times on the message boards, the system does not do Hutty any favors getting him rebounds.

Had the same thought, we don't really need him to grab those boards, in fact it's better to have one of the above grab it because then they can go.

I really do like Hornseth, and he is way better than I would have thought. He'll be great next year when minutes for the interior clears. As for now Hutson isn't going to be a huge minute guy anyway, so there should always be 12-15 available, upwards of 20 if he's the best we can throw out there for the situation.

It's not as though Hutson is particularly struggling (second leading scorer with lower minutes and decent efficiency), so I think for this season minutes are a bit capped and I'm ok with the roles as they are.
