Silver lining with Bond, I'd say it's pretty likely that he stays here next year.

      I had the same thought.
not necessarily, but more likely now than before.

Yeah, I'd say there's a better chance he stays all else held equal, but he can still likely move on if he wants, and I wouldn't be totally shocked if he made a semi lateral upwards move

I'm curious as well. On Wednesday he was in the bench and didn't look too mobile. He was cheering but I never saw him stand up. Yesterday he was up and moving around. Probably means nothing, but a guy can hope...

I messaged Cole Bair, he has not heard anything, but is planning to ask Jake about it at today's presser. Tbh I think the fact we haven't heard something means they hope he will be back and want to keep it under wraps. If he was done for the year, I'd expect they would just say so.

to pile on the Bond speculation - a week ago he had a brace/immobilizer on and at the ISUr game no brace that i could see. i also appreciated he was sporting a throwback 50 phyfe jersey on the bench.

RJ was also without crutches or scooter so hopefully hes on a good track too

At noon, Jake said Leon has been doing footwork drills for a couple of days and was able to jog today. Possible he's doing full individual work by the end of the week and then it's getting him back playing 3 on 3. Certainly didn't close the door on him playing again this year.

We dodged a massive bullet there.

That was my takeaway as well. Stay in position for a top 3 seed in St.Louis, maybe we have Leon back...get ready.

Holy moly, there's another 4 weeks until Arch Madness and seems like if he's ready for that by the middle of February, he should have a pretty decent shot of returning for that.

Not something I would have expected at all.

Nothing against Max, but he's a huge upgrade to be getting 30+ minutes alongside some other guys that are playing very well.

Max's scoring punch being able to be brought off the bench would be incredibly valuable.

Don Bishop for team MVP. Not sure if that’s a good thing.

He's earned his paycheck year after year. I mean, I wish it wasn't that way, but here we are. At least we have one of the best.
