Use Max to stand on Mascari's toes. Trey is going to have to have a big night on Stirtz. Having another body to run at Stirtz is where we're going to miss Leon the most tomorrow night. Cael and Redek are to get Stirtz some as well.
We've got a huge advantage inside offensively. Tytan is Tytan and they don't have anybody that is really going to be able to handle Hutty's size.#MACtionComment

Gotta find a way to slow down Stirtz and not allow Mescari to go off from 3. Not an easy task by any means, but if we can find a way to mess up their rhythm I like our chances to compete well with them.Comment

Looking at the league schedule for tonight, a win would be just massive. UIC is at Bradley so a win gets us two games clear of 5th and in about as good a shape to not play Thursday as you can be on January 29th. Belmont also goes to Normal tonight. A two way tie for 2nd coming out of the evening sounds pretty good...#MACtionComment

Drake is -7.5 favorites tonight.
Need to just pound the paint all game long. Hutty, Tytan, and Will. Need to grab all the defensive rebounds. If Drake is going to hit their 3's we are probably going to lose, but our advantage is inside and that needs to be exploited all night long.UNI FIGHT

This is true, but Drake is good at preventing teams from trying to get the ball in the paint. A lot of us are going to get flashbacks to the old UNI pack line defense. They run a very similar version but haven't fallen into the trap of not defending the arc. By my count this will be the 4th time in seven years that we are a shell of what we could have been come Arch Madness time due to injury/illness.
2019: Phyfe misses most of the season forcing us to roll with Luke McConnell and Justin Dahl down low all season.
2021: AJ Green out for the year. Not to mention we are.....lets say controvertially......forced to forfeit the AM quarterfinal.
2023: Heise misses most of the season and UNI is forced to rely on an extremely young team.
2025: Two starting guards, RJ Taylor and Leon Bond, have season ending injuries.
Throw in the fact that we went a combined 1-2 at Arch Madness as the 1-seed in 2020 and 2022 and you can understand why UNI fans have been frustrated.Comment
