Most of the upper level offer their own food establishment and a lot offer so much more attractive aspects of a college then what UNI currently offer. Most College athletes want as much as they can. Thats a huge reason it is hard to recruit.
Most want playing time and style of play. Comfort level with players and coaches. Facility stuff is overrated.

UNI will never be in position to keep up with that and at our level it’s way more about playing time, comfort level and relationships. The practice facility is huge for development and scheduling, but the kind of kids we recruit and the programs we are against, it’s way more about the former. If your facilities are awful, different story. One thing we do need to fix is our home attendance. It’s been an issue for yrs. it’s an ongoing issue for the sport itself as millennials don’t care as much as their predecessors. Having consistent home crowds and game day atmospheres would give us our biggest bang for buck

        • Is it normal for a kid to make 6 visits? Seems like a lot. Interesting that the Toledo visit is 3 months after his other visits. I'm gonna guess if he makes that visit, he's not coming here.

They've really relaxed those rules. Kids are going to take more and more. Wouldn't read to much into it.

With an official visit the school pays the expenses for the athlete and parents. With unofficial visits the athlete and family pay their own expenses. You can now take 6 official visits per school year (up from 3) and you can take 10 unofficial visits (up from 5).

Good information, BC. I knew that the number of visits had changed, but I was not sure about the numbers.

This link is supposed to mention it, there's a pay wall though... not sure if people here have access.

                            • You'd have to guard he and AJ to 27 feet with Phyfe/Henry in the middle with a ton of room for Pickford, Carter and Madsen to slash.....

This is the stuff multiple league titles are made of....
