This has to be the biggest class UNI has ever brought in.
As of 11:30 it's at 25 signed, 5 verbals yet to sign, 5 kids with offers (4 PWO and 1 scholarship) that have yet to declare anywhere.
Deep class. Tons of talent. Hope it develops on and off the field over their next 4 or 5 years on campus.
More than a couple kids that picked UNI over P5 offers - most recent is Omar Brown Jr. who had a Indiana offer
A few kids that have ceilings higher than almost anyone that's been signed before - based on known potential at the time of signing. Who knows what happens with them.
No one will ever be able to question Farley's ability to recruit, and put together a staff that can recruit.

This is an amazing class - great job coaches! Let's hope it translates to the field.

One that stands out to me is Adams. Any concern Iowa or Minny is stepping up?
Though I did see we've signed a JUCO WR from IWCC that had a NDSU offer that I had not found as being linked to UNI before. Making it a signing day or day before offer. Most guys that pop up from no where today at PWOs. If this kid had an NDSU offer I can't imagine he's walking on here. That could be a "back up" for the Adams going elsewhere.
I'm not super concerned. He seems to be interacting with Nate Martens on social media in the last day or so

I think he was on campus a few weeks ago so been in the pipeline but was pretty quiet.
He's a pretty dynamic playmaker from what I have read.
He torched Independence CC...of Last Chance U fame...pretty good last season.Winning is more fun than losing.

Fun fact - Zachary is a two-time state champion as a wrestler at Dowling, ISHAA freestyle champion and was runner-up last year at NJCAA tournament at 149.
At Iowa Western, he was an NJCAA All American wrestler and NJCAA All American football player, named second team return specialist. Looks like UNI just added a returner.
His teammate - Nick Singleton - was first team NJCAA All American at WR (do not see a signing for Singleton today).Last edited by ronfitch; 02-07-2019, 07:42 AM."Well, that escalated quickly."

In case you missed it, he had offers from Arkansas State, NDSU, MSU-Mankato with Iowa and Minnesota showing interest enough to bring him to campus. In the past some of those "showing interest" have turned into offers on the day before or signing day.

Nelly is now saying the expect a class of 31 - which UNI currently has without Adams.
Adams is the only verbal to not have officially signed yet.
I guess we have a few days to find out.

With the signing class, plus Adrian Adams (whom isn't signing yet but still could end up a Panther), UNI would be at 112. There's also a chance of a late FBS/JUCO addition.
You are allowed 95 players on roster in camp - limit goes up after like the second week of camp or something in that range.
Farley is either planning on/has had a lot of attrition of players already on roster....or is going to have to do some roster trimming.
That or the walk-ons won't be a part of the team until after that date.
There are 78 players on the spring roster. 80 with Cardenas and Otterstatter who have had their careers ended with injury and aren't "active" players.
