Not holding my breath here. Iowa isn’t exactly burning up the recruiting front

I think what he/she is referring to is Iowa tends to extend last minute offers to some in-state players they deem worthy and already offered by or verbally committed to UNI if the Hawkeye’s “primary” targets at certain positions go elsewhere. That would be more likely in a down recruiting year for them, which this is starting off to be.

I wonder why Iowa would be struggling...

                    Hmmm.

The Doyle/Brian Ferentz thing will hang over them for awhile. The suit by the former players also has to play out. That group (the litigants) to me seem like some malcontents with sour grapes, but it doesn’t mean some fact based info damaging to Iowa couldn’t come out in the process. Both can be true in this case.

66 year old head coach who's successor isn't the slam dunk it was a year ago. I don't think the new president is going to let Barta make the next hire so it could get real interesting in the next couple years.

Brady McCullough just committed from Ankeny High School. He's a 6'4" WR and a great kid. Played the last couple years with a ton of talent. His sister also plays basketball at UNI.
