I really did like what I saw in the highlight reel, and those highlights seem to show a kid that should've done more on offense. I like his length and he looks to have good athleticism. From looking at Cedar Falls's stats, they seem to play very unselfish ball. They also have a sophomore coming up named William Gerdes who is already around 6'8" and is getting plenty of looks. He was their leading scorer at 11.7 ppg. They just don't score a ton of points or they really spread it out.
Gerdes is friends with my son and they played together when my son still played basketball. Gerdes already has an offer from Nebraska.

He did actually have at least 1 other D-1 offer. So, at least it’s more promising than his brother. I’m not sure if he’d start at co college but he is 6’10 and in 3 years we might develop them both.

In my mind, it all comes down to the "cost". If we got him as a walk on, that's great value. If we had to burn a scholarship, we reached likely out of panic.

Is he a Valley-level basketball player?

We're going portaling, and this is arguably one of the biggest off-seasons Jake has had. A lot of things need to change.

Redek was 1st team all state, and Hornseth won player of the year, defensive player of the year, 1st team all conference, and all defensive team. They both had very good seasons. I am updating their stats on the first post right now, so that will be end of season stats.
