  • 2024 Football Recruiting Thread

UNI has racked up 7 commitments for the 2024 football class in the last 24 hours.

Guessing there will be more in the next couple days.

Ethan Petrik from the Courier is doing a good job of covering this. Check his Twitter (X) account for a repost of the commitments.

Thanks Blue42. The DMR’s annual list of SRs and JRs to watch will be coming out in the next couple of weeks. That will give us some ideas on who UNI is still targeting in state. I know there are other sources, but the people writing these articles are typically pretty well informed.

Petrik at the Courier is staying on top of the offers and signings really well.

I saw that. Glad to hear the Courier is covering UNI. I got the impression here that their coverage suffered when the last beat writer left.

Jim Nelson is back to head it up and Ethan's doing a good job. They've also created new social media handles on Facebook and Instagram for specifically local sports coverage.
"...the Northern Iowa men's basketball team reached the ultimate highs before hitting a devastating low. Unexpected success, followed by unimaginable failure. And they owned it -- all of it -- for the world to see. Like men. Like leaders. Like champions -- in a way no tournament bracket could ever define."

Per Keith Murphy, Titus Cram from Bondurant just committed to UNI. Good sized kid, great athlete. He’s big and fast enough to feasibly play on either side of the ball, probably RB or LB. He had several FBS schools involved but suffered a leg injury during the season.

Cram is a massive get and I'm guessing it's a guarantee that we'll let him play offense.

That is a huge signing for the Panthers! I taught at Bondurant-Farrar for the first 3 years of Titus's high school career and have watched him progress as a dominant middle schooler all the way through high school. He is the real deal, and he's only going to get better once he's healthy and exclusively playing running back. Can't wait to watch him in purple!
Give us a yell, HO! The purple and the gold
                Victory for U-N-I!

Find out what the other team wants to do, then take it away from them.

He made a ton of campus visits and got a lot of offers, according to Rivals:

Titus Cram - 2024 3 Star Athlete for Bondurant Farrar (Bondurant, IA) on Rivals.com

                  Welcome to UNI, Titus!
                  "Well, that escalated quickly."

I’d seen him mentioned in connection with Iowa for a few years, but they never pulled the trigger on an offer.

He had offers from Iowa, ISU, Wisconsin, Nebraska, Kansas State, Missouri, Minnesota, Duke, and Kansas (might be missing one or two). I know he also visited Notre Dame.

Stunned he chose UNI, but excited to see him in purple.
